Also do this if your keys look too new, as at least one is probably a replacement.

I bought a Mini recently, both keys looked too nice, got BMW to check and they were keys 3 and 4. Keys 1 and 2 have been deleted now.

If you are going to ask your dealer (or Alfve or Ollie) take all your keys with you when you go to see them so they can identify which are the live keys.
