As far as I can make out there is no maintenance schedule to change final drive and gearbox oil and precious little information in the owners handbook as to what oil to use if you want to do it.

Do you think a change is necessary and at what mileage ? I'm coming up to 50,000 miles.

I'm reasonably confident that the Final drive needs MB 235.7 and I can source Fuchs Titan Sintapoid FE 75W80 which appears to meet that spec.

Oil for a manual gearbox is harder to pin down with certainty. Best I can determine is that spec should be MB 235.10 but the choice of suitable oils seems limited to Mobil/Esso gear oil MB 317. No oil grade on the label but I have the data sheet and viscosity in cSt. It's thin stuff and looks like 75W. Fuchs Sintofluid 75W is another possibility. Can anyone comment on that being the correct spec. and choice of oil or suggest an alternative.

IMHO an oil change is never a bad thing.

Some may say a waste if money but mechanically it can't hurt.
