Health check

Had a problem with my car and had to have it on star for an hour. I've had a intermittent fault with a boost sensor. Got the part coming Saturday.
They send a video of the checks carried out, how novel is that

Seems to be the thing. Last year when I had a service and some mechanical work done they took a video of it first to show what the problem was, then doing the work and finally what it looked like when the work was done. That was Lexus Birmingham.

Those videos are a beautiful bit of potential work/sales generation that have sprung up over the last few years

Friend of mine had his old 3 series in for an airbag recall, their "health check" racked up a £3k estimate on an E46 that was only worth £4k at best. By the time you'd sifted through the stuff that didn't need doing for 12 months, and the stuff that was just turd polishing, the realistic bill was more like £500. But if you didn't know any better...
