Clk320
Hi My 2004 clk320 has got 2 malfunctions
Bas and esp defective is this going to cost loads
Any help please ??

Whilst parked, with the engine running, try turning the steering wheel lock-to-lock to see if this gets rid of the warnings.

To be honest , for the cost of a brake light switch it's worth changing that before paying for the codes to be read.

Brake light switch is approx £15 and usually cures it. Diagnostic could be £50.

On Clks of your age , they are usually near the end of their life.

I had the same warning lights on a 210. Once after collecting from a service at MB Macclesfield - turned around and took it back, and once after jacking up the car front N/S. Lock-to-lock worked fine and I never saw the lights again after that.

Coming home in the Vito one evening and it threw ESP/BAS/ASR and something else while I was rolling along (loose chippings on the road). I feared the worst, but after a couple of miles they had all disappeared.

It's cleared when I started it the day I hit
A lot or water on way home last nyt could this
Have caused problem no trouble today thanks for
Info tho

My W210 throws up the BAS/ESP warning at least once a month. Switching off the engine and restarting has always cleared it so far.

That probably is the brake light switch. Very common on cars that used them.
