Hello everyone

Travelled to London yesterday to check out a s class 280
I was blown away by the car and the luxurious interior... so many gadgets!!!
Hopefully picking it up tomorrow
Worried about running costs
But apart from that car seems to being excellent order for a 2004 plate
No doubt I will have many further questions for you..as I'm coming from a Saab world to a Merc

Thanks
Andy

Congratulations on your new car, remember to post some photos, we like photos!

Some quick photos after driving back from London yesterday....... very smooth and quiet drive..car seems good. Going to give it a good wash and polish
Just hope that I can afford to run the thing!! Big car

To me it looks almost coppery

That paint site is a US one, colour code 723 is named Cubanite Silver everywhere other than the US, for obvious reasons.

Looks like a kind of Cubanite in a dark light to me. The VIN number or paint code will soon tell the story, with the VIN giving you every option on the car.

On another note ...

Few little problems I have come across you. May be able to help me with??
Or maybe they should go into another part of the forum

1. Drivers side glass is loose in wing mirror
2. Humming noise coming from interior lighting area .. apparently this can be the air temperature sensor fan?
3. Sunroof cover you push back seems to be all wonky.. not running on the rails properly...if that makes any sense

Many thanks for your time
Andy

It looks a lovely car that once you get the little niggles sorted, is going to give you gracious motoring like very few other cars can. I hope all goes well for you.

PS There's a few posts on this forum advising not to autofold the wing mirrors. Many owners have found the electrical wires perish over time with the continual bending.
