Just one flaw to the method.
He has used a wooden plank to support the phone and prevent it from bending. Now depending on the type of wood used, after being exposed to moisture, timber is known to twist and bend on its own.
So there is still a possibility that the base itself, will eventually bend the phone.
If however, he was to use a metal plate instead...
( and the extra weight would add value to the phone, just like with the watches, the heavier - the better)
