Does any one know if you can get a connection using the lighting to 30 pin connector ,as media interface does not recognise i pod touch 5th gen

Yes, I've used the standard Apple Lightning-to-30-pin adapter to connect my 5G iPod Touch using both the basic iPod connector (in my old SLK) and the media interface (in an R172 I had on loan).

Hope you don't crack the screen, replacements are £120-£150 and I believe one of the connectors needs to be soldered onto the logic board. Apple's attempt to prevent repairs.

Surely one end goes into lighting on iPod and other into 30pin lead that comes with car that you use for iPad ?
