In the last two weeks I've seen these unusual incidents.

Heavy rain saw the manhole cover blown off and this car fell down the opening. It's a good job really as when I saw it the water was fast flowing eight feet down.

This one was on an extended walk to the pub earlier tonight.

Seatbelts save headaches.

Whilst sitting at the pub this pulled in. A Buick Electra 225.

Is Doom Bar the name of the pub, or is it advertising the beautiful brew from Rock in Cornwall?

The beer...which strangely isn't on sale...?? Black Sheep or Church End  ...

Looks like they have tried to pull the Seat out with some string.

I suppose I'll have to declare this now.

August 2006 on Mrs Ringway's Birthday.

We were all set to leave for a picnic in the Goyt Valley.

She wasn't impressed (and neither was my Son who got stuck on the door mirror).

I had reversed over the steel plate in this shot perhaps 25 times, but then the positioning of the traffic signals changed meaning I had to approach from the opposite angle.
This meant mounting the kerb and applying more revs than usual. With the noise of the generator for the traffic signals and my high revving
I didn't realise that my rear wheel had flicked the plate out of the way.

There was a some posh tart in a Range Rover signalling with here hands for me to get a move on.
As I used my middle finger to signal to her that I thought pirouetting would be a great hobby for her... BANG! Down I went.

Had to get FAM Recovery out to lift the van out with this Jobbie.

Whilst pursuing the contractor who was working for United Futilities for the damages, they went bust. Took and age to get paid out.

And then the rust started...

It's always you, Paul... :D

LOL! I Know...

Got quite a bit of stick for over that (especially from Gail's Brother). Asked me if I was listening to 'Van Holen' at the time. Bleedin' hilarious.

That exhaust was replaced not long after the pic was taken with a genuine MB unit. Still going strong when I sold the van.

Saw this about 18, months ago.

Is that as a lifeboat if the car breaks down?

Yes your worship ---I was just in the midst of explaining to the Halfords assistant the exact design of bike rack I required for my MGB GT when his brain exploded.

I suppose I'll have to declare this now.

Didn't you see the steel plate that was covering the hole until flicked out of the way? ;)

Saw this earlier today. The work of a disgruntled former employee, apparently.

Back to the van incident.

It was the body-twist that worried me more than anything, but once back on level ground, all was well.
