Interesting films to see?

Has anyone got any tips for interesting films to see.

The other night Mrs Dm and I went to see L'inconnu du lac and tonight it's Under the Skin.

Any suggestions?

Under the skin was somewhat of a disappointment, it never really got going or fully showed the feelings the main character was having.

L'inconnu du lac was excellent.

Oddly I watched the book thief last night, excellent film.

Beautiful Lies, Amelie……..Neither are cerebral but quirky, charming and light hearted.

Gravity……surprisingly good.

I watched the trailer and thought it looked a bit average, is it better than the trailer indicates?

Of course, it has Sandra Bullock in, so could be worth a punt...as it were...

Had the same thoughts but we found the film got the heart going, as it were. There is a tiny 'blip' part way through that only last a couple of minutes (over egged Hollywood mush).
