An interesting advert indeed.
I drove an identical Jeep 2.5TD Limited for 9 years until the engine went BOOM at 235,000 miles.
I worked it hard.
It was a good work-horse, but rarely was it "fun".
The heavy and cumbersome manual shift change was b...... awful.
My wife wouldn't drive it.
The engine was the old VM grunt-and-fart diesel ... Not pretty, but it had some grunt.
It worked hard for 9 years and rarely gave any trouble.
I'm glad I've got my E300TD.
That works hard, has some grunt and is more fuel-efficient and much more fun.

Dad has one of these that he uses as a runaround / workhorse.
We pull boats (large and small) in and out of the water with it everyday ( it has a front towbar fitted for ease ) , generally abuse it and don't wash it ...
The only time it went wrong was when i borrowed it and stripped the ring gear by trying to start it when it was already running
The mileage on it would make captain kirk blush , but it just never goes wrong , it isn't rusty , and generally keeps going. It's not fun , but it does exactly what it says on the tin.
Can't fault it really.
