January workshop special offer - what would you like to see?

Hi All,

We will be looking to run another special offer of some sort in January 2016.

Rather than choosing one ourselves we thought we would pass over to you to let us know what sort of things you would like to see!

How about pay for a gearbox oil change and get a diff seal change for free ?? Nudge Nudge

Something winter related - maybe free wiper blades and screenwash with a service?

Special offer on brakes - maybe free brake fluid change with new discs and pads?

How about adding a little 'excitement' into the mix?
Maybe something like giving customer number X of January a reduced or free full service that can be redeemed then or banked for the next time. Put a chart on the wall with a sealed envelope with the number in it and note the customer numbers day by day until the prize is won. Too elaborate?

Winter Service special of some sort, eg anti freeze test and top up if required, Washer fluid, wiper blade(s), battery, tyre condition/pressure check etc......
Maybe a Special on a Brake fluid change, it seems this is a job most people have a tendency to put off

Maybe a 'winter special' covering things like coolant check/change if required , screen wash , air-con recharge ( it's not just for summer ) , heating and ventilation system check , wipers , light function and alignment check , and tyre checks ?

Edit - typed at the same time as above post and , yes , battery / charging system check a good point too .

Only down there this time last week for a big service. If I had waited until after this thread would I have postponed it until next month? No, not likely as the work was needed and very impressed with everything from arrival, going over the work required, collecting the loan car through to being reunited with my car the next day. Thank you very much for all the work done. Would have been happy with the black W211 E63 as the "loaner" though, what a fine sounding engine. As previously suggested, maybe something along the line of "Winter special"?

How about getting someone from the local escort so the customer has his oil changed too

Start with your loyal and regular customers they are the ones that make what you do possible and analyse where their cars are in terms of mileage, servicing and see if there are key jobs folks need to have done and offer them something to encourage them back. For those who occasionally use or never have yet then 2 or 3 specials such as performance upgrade chip/boost thingy, abc system oil flush (i'm clutching at straws here not being mechanical) and the like. Its a tough one as having x amount of % off a service or something Is great but you have to hope peoples services are due!

A winter check is good but for the small cost of one would it be worth someone travelling from far away for one? As a lot of our customers come a good distance.

A special offer on brakes could work....15% off the bill maybe? Using genuine parts, maybe a brake fluid change at the same time for a reduced cost also?
