Hello everyone.
I wonder if any of you could help shed some light on this issue.
Ive just had a replacement key delivered ( the original had a broken moulding so it worked intermittently).
Its been delivered from Mercedes with the correct emergency key so it opens the car but of course when you insert it into the ignition the car doesn't recognise the key.
Im assuming it needs to be programmed to the car, is this something you can do yourself, i remember having keys before that you programmed by turning them in the lock in a certain sequence or do i have to take it to a dealer?
Ian
