Please can anybody advise where I can get a key replacement for a w124 1991, just bought it and the last owners can't find the keys? I have tried merc dealership no joy? thanks

How are you starting the car?
You bought a car without any keys?
I hope the cost of a new key is being deducted from the price you paid.

I would contact RMK who can hopefully make a new key for you. You'll need the V5 and some ID to prove the car is yours.

This is taken from their website (based in Birmingham but they travel.)

If you have lost all of your keys..

  • Lost key solutions START FROM £275 depending on location and circumstances. This service is provided wherever the car is without the need for towing or recovery. We gain entry to the vehicle and provide a key within 45 minutes* (A travel surcharge may apply)

We cover most of the UK and travel to specific area's on specific days. If you need a spare key making at your home or work place then it could take upto 14 days to arrange an appointment convenient with us and yourself. Please call us direct for Lost key situations and we will try and get to you quicker!

I don't think RMK can do a key for the w124 as early as this one

Eddie007 people on here will do all they can to help but I for one am really curious as to why anyone would buy a car with no keys unless it was a scrapper/parts mule.

I hope it works out OK for you. Good luck :thumb:

You could try the below method in video, it seems to be possible without a key.
