Laptop No Longer Seeing Phone

My HTC One Mini connects to the laptop via a mini usb cable.

It's been fine for months, but now the phone doesn't show in "Computer" on the laptop tree structure any more.

When I connect there's a "ta da", so it appears the connection is recognised.

Also, the lead still charges the phone.

Any ideas please?

Try a new lead Dev. Just because it's powering doesn't mean the data pair are establishing connection. If you patch to another device does it see the phone, or vice versa laptop to another device? This would establish phone socket / laptop socket or lead plugs as the deficient part.

Solved, with a bit of perseverance and a reload of the driver through Control Panel.

Driver corrupted?! Been on the private browsing sites for research again? !
