I am slowly getting to grips with the 560 sec I recently acquired.

After cleaning up the SLS pipes that looked pretty badly corroded, I have discovered a slow leak.

I planned to replace them anyway, so looks like I need to at least do the leaking one now.

Can I replace them with copper lines that I plan to make up myself? Or is there a reason I should stay with steel?

Thanks in advance.

Many thanks

Cupre-nickle would be ok, copper might not be strong enough and can work harden and fracture.

What size are they?

Sls pipes are thicker bore than brake pipes..

I had mine made up at hose and pipe supplier.. The ones mb sent came in long lengths and there was no way I could bend them to fit..

Oops, Oh well, I need to do the brake pipes anyway. Hopefully the kit will still be useful with thicker bore pipe.

Will report back when I start the job, as they really look the same to me, time will tell, thanks for the input Jay.
