Lowering springs w211 advise

Hi.

Some advice needed please. I've seen the below springs on eBay. Does anyone have any experience with these? Ideally I'd like a 40mm drop but could go to 45mm.

Would 45mm be too low?

A friend of mine bought some Eibach springs for his w211, Which over the 20,000 they covered went week and the vehicle kept grounding out.

My advice -don't even think about it ! You must have better things to spend £150 on.

Not to lower. Friend did his (same car) -it kept grounding , it made potholes seem like the end of the world etc etc. Within a week, he wanted back to the original springs. Your insurance company needs to be informed as it will come under the heading of modified. In my opinion, it is just not worth the hassle.
