Being a caterham the damage must stack up to oh about 27p

Heck - I was almost going to go to that today.

It's good that the Caterham has a fully cage, as many if not most just have a 1/2 cage which is more like a rear harness bar - crazy people.

Looks like he got big air. I bet he had time to think - this is going to hurt - lucky man to have walked away.

I've been in a crash like this, but not as severe, and the comments that you have the time to think, this is going to hurt is bang on.

My mate flipped a E36 3 series over, and that was the thought "***te this is really going to hurt"....

In something as exposed as a Catehram, that will be a nasty few seconds.

Beefy roll cage, harnesses etc to hold in place, lucky chap.

Hitting the soft grass would have helped. None of the Lotus 7 style cars are 'that' safe even with a roll cage compared to a saloon car with a roll cage.
