Just had my W212 E350cdi serviced at MB Tech, the service was brilliant and the cost very competitive. I would have no problem recommending them to anyone.
Work carried out, major service, brake fluid, gearbox oil and filter and air on anti bacterial treatment.

What's wrong with them? Genuinely interested, as I've used them before with no problems.

Probably nothing, maybe loads, who knows? It's just what looks like a suspicious single post from someone who's either associated with them or a customer who's been encouraged to leave positive feedback but has simply managed to make every one think it's actually the former.

Cheers E300dave, my comment is a genuine report of the service I have experienced today, maybe you should get behind new members and local business.

Welcome mate, might be worth introducing yourself in the new members' section to avoid this type of reception.

As a forum supporter I have heard only good things about them from customers that have travelled down south.
From my experience they are a good outfit so I don't know what all the fuss is about

I went to a GTG with the other forum many years ago. It was hosted by MB Tech and they made it into an excellent day, including feeding and watering a good few people.

Never personally had any work done by them, though other members at the time had nothing but praise for them.

Welcome GJR by the way, as suggested above, an introduction may help. :)

I've used MB Tech a few times and probably spent a couple of thousands with them so far. And this is what I think.

Their rates are not cheap for an indie, but you wouldn't expect it to be cheap anyway for a Mercedes specialist. They are still way cheaper than the main dealers though.

I don't understand the above comment saying that they are "cheap and tacky". Their work area is big and clean (recently expanded too), with a good reception and parking. All I can ask for from an indie to be honest.

They seem to know their stuff and are good at solving problems. A down side is that they are quite busy so you gotta wait a while if you want work done. Overall I like them.

+1, a good outfit in my opinion

I've used them on my s211 for the last 3 years, first class service.
The price is not cheep but fair and they know what they are doing, more than you can say about so M B dealers.

Hi Rory, all in £680.

MB Chester did B service, brake fluid, ATF change and MOT on my car for £430 a couple of years ago, and I was miffed not to get it for £400 as another member on here did a few months before me.

However, they seem much less willing to negotiate now and I'm under no illusion I could get that price today.

£680 does seem a very "full" price though, unless there was more content to the work than described. There are pros and cons with using an indie but there ought to be a clear cost advantage.

He meant the post was cheap and tacky, as it looks planted.

There's another localish indie who posts now and again and it's fairly obvious from his user name, but he doesn't declare a connection when he posts in support of his business. Puts me right off.

Used them on all 7 MB's I have owned, top garage, and I trust them...they are always very busy due to repeat custom, 2-3 week lead time is pretty much the norm...recommended:thumb:

Had a windscreen replaced under warranty at MB Dartford car came back with a scratch down the side, and the walnut centre had to have a French polisher to repair after they scratched that, the car only had 800 miles on the clock, after complaining got told by the general manager that I have his phone number if if need it ( for what ?) car has been back two times because of poor workmanship, car now goes to lakeside more professional and good customer service

I've just been directed to this thread from a member on here.

I have never nor will I ever instruct anyone to post on a forum giving us recommendation. Those that know me/us know that I am a little more business savvy than that, especially a new member.

I thank the OP for his recommendation, (I don't know who he is BTW, but thanks anyway), I can see why some would be sceptical about the post, but there is nothing underhand.

With regards some questioning the price. A 212 E350 CDI will have the expensive cartridge air filters, and expensive fuel filter with integrated water sensor.

The OP also states he has had brake fluid changed and 7G gearbox oil replaced, with full torque converter and lines drained/flushed

A full service will consist of the following

Oil & filter
2 x Air filters
Fuel filter
Pollen filter
Wiper blades
Screenwash
Full vehicle inspection
Wheels removed
Hubs cleaned & greased
Wheel bearings regreased & adjusted (if required)
Parking brake adjusted (if required)

All adaptations reset on star for the replacement of the relevant filters, gearbox adaptations reset if required.

We are transparent and will answer any questions anyone has.

Thank you for taking the time to read my response, and thanks to the OP for his feedback.
