My R129 isn't perfect but that's because it's a project car I want to get up to par through my own work. Is there a club or meet that's gets people together to discuss or work on cars. The local place to hire 'Ramp it up' in Avonmouth has just closed so I'm at a loss for advice or opportunity to attempt to remove a wing or ask questions about the R129 engine unit. This is a long shot but I thought I'd pose the question.

Organise your own local meet and find likeminded people?
Half the moderators on GTiROC live in the North West, and I don't think one of us has our car on the road at the moment. - Whenever there's a meet you get two MBs, one genuine BMW, a BMW Mini... and whatever anyone else that attends is driving.
Half the time is spent discussing what needs to be done to our respective cars, and possibly pencilling dates in the diary to help each other out.
In my experience, the offer of beer and/or lunch is normally enough reward for a couple of helpful souls.
