Well I went ahead and bought one of these and.. Well I can't say that I am overly impressed to be honest.
I think this is a reasonable tool to bring back a near perfect polished wheel to its full potential but frankly I seem to be able to do a better job with autosol and a microfibre cloth.
The issue seems to be that the foam is too soft to apply enough pressure to really do an awful lot.
There really isn't any shortcut or better method than a wet sand followed by a hand polish. It takes a couple of hours minimum per wheel on these 3 piece AMG wheels and I was rather hoping for a speedier solution but this particular tool doesn't make life any easier at all.
Oh well £40 down, its not the end of the world.
