Merc E300 Hybrid - recall

Hi All,

Just had a letter from MB stating there's a recall on E300s (and I would imagine E250s) for the Timing chain Tensioner. For reference, my E300 is a 64 plate.

My 220 had some recall work done last week when in for warranty work. Think it may have been an oil deal.

I also had the same letter today for my E300. I called the garage to book it in and the garage confirmed it wasn't just limited to the hybrid.

Concern : OIL MAY LEAK
Description : On certain diesel engines the 'O' ring may not have been produced to the correct specification. This may allow oil to leak and contaminate the environment. If excessive oil is lost engine damage may occur.
Remedial Action : On affected vehicles, replace the chain tensioner sealing ring.
