Hi all,
This was advertised previously but this is an new advert with updated details, photos and new price
2.5 Diesel
Automatic
125,000 Miles with a good service history including 13 dealer and garage stamps aswell as various maintains receipts.
Finished in classic MB silver with a grey interior
MOT - 15 June 2016
Factory fitted electric rear windows
Factory fitted period Blaupunkt radio including tweeters and parcel shelf speakers
New alternator fitted last weekend
Very good condition throughout. Silver paintwork is virtually unmarked and comes up perfectly when polished as can be seen in the photos.
Interior is in extremely good condition, minimal seat wear and all controls work perfectly as they should.
Mechincally the car is in extremely good has never let me down. The engine pulls very strongly and the gearbox is silky smooth. Zero bumps or rattles from any of the suspension or steering components.
The car is a credit to how cars of this era - particularly Mercedes - used to be built to last whilst being extremely comfortable and refined.
I completed a 2,500 road trip around Europe in the car in May of last year. The car performed faultless the whole trip, coping easily with Autobahn traffic and some mountain passes.
Being honest the are some minor defects, there is a touch of rust below the driver side rear light and another touch in the boot. The black plastic bumpers are also showing signs of fading with a couple of marks. Its never bothered me but i'm sure they could be replaced for not much outlay. The car also has slightly lowered sport suspension, please note the ride is a touch firmer than standard. Front tyres are a bit low, but tyres are pretty cheap for it.
Theres not many diesel autos out there and these cars are now starting to creap up in value so this could prove a good investment for someone. Theres already a couple on eBay and classic sites for £5k - If prices of W123s are anything to go by theses will follow soon.
Mercedes Owners Club member owned. Viewing very welcome in Bridgend, South Wales or Cribbs Causeway, Bristol.
Tried my luck earlier in the year price wise and did have a fair bit of interest only to be messed about by just about everyone that arranged to view it, honest never known anything like it when trying to sell a car!:fail The new price is £2,000 absolutely no offers, reduced from £2,750.
The car is insured until the 1st May, if it doesn't go before then i'll be insuring it for another year and will keep it.
May be interested in a P/X or SWAP for a more modern Mercedes CDI Diesel. Must be well looked after with below around 120k.
Plenty more photos available, contact me for more info! 07411 910351
