This is the response I got....

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Sorry you didn't like the piece in the mag. I hoped you would be pleased so
a little disappointed by your reaction. Trust we got the pic in that you
particularly wanted, sorry that your name was left out - many a slip twixt
editor and printer! &nbsp; Please let me know what name to use and I will credit
you with supplying them in the next mag.

There is a panorama shot on the forum site that I assumed you had put up, so
I don't think it is right for me to remove it.</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'>

Does anyone else get the feeling that the MBOA have missed the point, their reply to Koolvin reads as if they are putting the blame at his feet.

I think MBOA must be a as yet undiscovered planet, because they don't come from the same one as the rest of us!!!!!! <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

Its their loss ....... <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

now thats a lame reply if ever there was one...how sad.

Evening all by the way, vast improvement on the last one here chaps i have to say.

Not really trying that hard, are they! &nbsp;<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Nige &nbsp;<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>

here is my reply:

I am quite frankly appauled at your response in your last e-mail and I honestly think by publishing one line of text in your magazine will not give me the credit I deserve for my hard work. I therefore am attatching a invoice for the use of my images at £200 a image. This is not an unreasonable amount. Just for your information the article printed in the magazine was not true to the events of the day.

EDIT: there were 3 images they used.

Give 'em hëll K. !!

*Edit* I see the anti-profanity watchdog still struts his stuff <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

Koolvin,
Call me thick or slow if ye want, but what exactly happened at MBOA?
I had not visited for a few days and when I came back, I got yer note to check out this site, which I obviously did.

When I went back to MBOA, CGI timeouts everywhere!!!

Please fill me in on details, cos as a newbie, I was beginning to get the hang of it.

I'm glad you posted that info Koolvin, I too was new to the MBOA forum and found the events that took place confusing.

I hope this new forum goes from strength to strength.

now this:

Sorry, I don't follow.

You asked for a picture to be included and that is what happened. You asked
to be credited and that is what we are doing.  Problem was you didn't tell
us your name, only your handle, hence the difficulty in crediting you.

Any payment for photos would have to be agreed in advance.

I hope this clarifies the situation.

-----------------

In the last e-mail they said they did not publish my name as they said it must have been an error or editor fault and now they say because it was my handle?

Over the phone I remember telling them exactly what to publish.

are all the members on MBOA very disapointed in them as I am? everyone is becoming anti-mboa.

why are they trying to twist the thing back on me? Im so frustrated and upset.

I have finally recieved a satisfactory reply.

more details soon.

What is the score with MBOA at the moment from people primarily on this forum?

Ive found them v.useful, has the general opinion changed, or is MBOA still a dirty word amongst members from this forum?

Not a dirty word.

I gave up on that forum ages ago. The moderators were pickleheads.

There are a few good contributors to that forum and I've found them to be okay myself. The forum tends to be frequented more for technical issues than anything else.

Its okay.

MBOA? Mercedes-Benz on Air? I've NO IDEA what MBOA is! I'm guessing its a forum similar to this one (competitors?)
