Was at Aachen today getting my car looked at (Keyless-Go keys not detected), having decided for its first warranty to drive the two hours over the border to a large German garage, recommended by MB customer services.
This garage covers acres! Notably single buildings for separate functions. The main building with all the new cars also had its own coffee shop and staff. So big they sublet space to other firms. Naturally, loads of cars of varying ages and types, but couldn't spot any vintage classics. We drove the courtesy car into the hangar like repair centre to get our bags.
Two customer cars: a debadged AMG GT facing a C63s
The coffee shop whilst you wait...
A row of angels upstairs in AMG heaven
The big mean mama, S63 cabrio (this one nearly a quarter of a million euros - TBH it didn't look worth the price of a new house!)
A moody looking GLS350d looking at a S350d @ €131K - at least in Aachen you can get a E220d saloon and a matching estate, with change, for that price!
Looking the other way down the length of the building, you might be able to see at the end the showy, all-glass inspection area with three car lifts
Here it is from the outside
Before that, whilst waiting I had a good look around the whole site. There was an interesting car park, down at the side of the building with lots of new high value cars looking a little sad and forgotten, gathering dust and rust....eg S63 coupé convertibles which are an eye-watering €230k list inside and G-Wagens, but they can take it!
A rather nice Vito nose to nose with an S63
Tried to get a pic of the Vito interior as it was a lovely cream leather, very modern and luxurious, but was trying to avoid getting myself in the reflection and the sun was shining too brightly!
Now up around the service area
Lovely red colour on that car...had to take a closer look
What on earth is this? Looks like an A220d and an E-class had a baby
A beauty....SL63
Quite a few models and ages represented here....
The AMG GT was still there...would have been rude not to
This C-class cabrio caught my eye with the cool looking twin turbo fans in each headrest...
An overnight in stunning Maastricht, then back in the afternoon to pick up, hopefully fixed, pride and joy. Is there an acronym for that, PAJ? .
Hope you enjoyed this little tour.
