Moving to the dark side...!!

Hi all,

I've been driving for around 20 years and have always had BMWs from my first car to the last one, but I am about to take the plunge and buy a Mercedes (CLS 320CDi) for the first time...so forgive my ignorance on MB-related issues!!

Hi guys, thanks for the welcome.

I will have to reserve judgement on which is the dark/light side for now!!

Although I have always owned BMWs until now, I have driven quite a few Mercs down the years. IMHO, the main difference I have found (albeit driving mainly E or S class) is that BMWs are enjoyable and fun to drive whereas the Mercs are more comfortable and stately.

My move to Mercs coincides with my 40th birthday last week - let's hope this isn't a sign of growing old!!!
