w208 Coupe,
Went over to Stuttgart to look at cars!

Somehow got clearance for this and even accompanied by Mrs Cris!

Went on the Porsche Factory tour then to the Porsche Museum and the following day off to the Mercedes Museum

...and some shopping in Konigstrasse.

If you find yourself there the trains tube/tram U Bahn and S Bahn (BR trains) run to time and are super cheap!
three day travel card was 11 euro! enough for central zone and out to the Factory's and Museum's. I took literally 100's of images with my little Canon point and click and I thought I post a couple for you lovely lot...

First view of whats to come, start of Mercedes...

Sl SLR & Gullwing, at this point there was a minor loss of control...

Silver Arrows display, literally 50 more cars it that bit...

AMG GT3 like it a lot!

Leaving Porsche Museum, the lady is Mrs Cris and she's had enough for that day lol

It's certainly worth the trip.
I drove down that way with a few of the guys last year.
Main event was the AMG factory but we also visited the Mercedes and Porsche museum.

The Porsche museum was somewhat of an anti-climax after the Mercedes Museum!
Wasn't at all impressed by the Porsche museum but still worth popping in if you're down that way.

Yup it's a good day out, I haven't been for a few years ... might go again this summer.

Last November my wife and I spent good five hours at the Mercedes Museum and the showroom downstairs ...
One of the best birthday pressies ever! :thumb:

Have put it on my list of places to visit:)

I'd recommend Stuttgart and the museum to anyone ze Germans are friendly bunch everything works trains buses trams...

Thanks for adding the link your pics have the one car I really wanted to see
The w208 based DTM race car, the one that still looks like a CLK not the lemans prototype...

I sat looking at the Gullwing and old SLR for 25 minutes never been able to get that close to one before

I thoroughly enjoyed the day out at the Mercedes museum.
It seems to me more of a school trip destination with the social commentary on the world events on the walls, a history of the powerhouse that is Mercedes within Germany's affairs

For me the highlight was Porsche I've been around them since I was ten as my dad had a Porsche specialist bodyshop since I was a kid which I help run now
Seeing every race car I've had a poster of was quite a good day out for me and also in the factory driving the poor tour guide mad with nerdy questions was also a highlight lol
Then finally Mrs Cris actually really enjoyed the whole trip with the Porsche factory as her late father was an engineer and the place is one giant machine shop.
