New member W123 300D turbo

Hi, wanted to say hello and wondered if any of the members on this site could point me in the direction of locating a W123 300D Turbo. I love these saloons but can't find any of them outside of the states. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers Dave.

123 diesels weren't turboed in the UK.

My engine is a later 6cyl 300TD from a W210 not the 5cyl wheezie that's in the 123. And I did the conversion myself, it's not something that came from the factory.

How good are you at welding?

I have to say (unashamedly biased here) that the Wagons are gorgeous. Never sleep alone again with one of these.

They look as good today as they did then and are the ultimate utility vehicle.

I'd look in the US first, a dry state car is likely to be in far better condition than anything European.

Do you think I would be better to go for a more common engined w123 as opposed to a US version turbo, do they hold value or are people avoiding them because of some reason I have not realised.
