Found this RUSSIAN PARTS SITE which appears to have the latest up to date EPC? Link is Google translate of the original. See what you think?:thumb:

It seems to be missing the option-code/chassis-number-range/colour-code stuff that is attached to each part number in the real EPC - which is pretty vital stuff.

(which is a shame as apart from that it seems much better that the last version)

It's In English!

Just tried this site for the first time - looking for part numbers for wheel bearing kit and towbar for my 2001 C270CDI - and was able to find them no problem 'cos it's all in English not Russian. Spread the word - we now have a comprehensible first place to look before bothering Malcolm (Television)!!:bannana::bannana::bannana::thumb::thumb::thumb:

OOPS!! Malcolm (Television) is on the "other" MB forum!

Iv had a go,damned if i can make it work !

Column 1 - click on Europe
Column 2 - click on Cars
Column 3 - for yours, click on 202

This brings up a big list in Column 4 - there's a couple of C220's in the list. Click on one and the page changes to a list of "major component areas".

I've just done this for your 202! Didn't go all the way to part numbers, but have done that for my 203 and it worked fine.

although i agree if this is free and like the other russian epc then its good, but remeber for just £15 a year you can have access to the proper uptodate online EPC from merc themselves and have the functionaily of searching for part numbers, parts based on chassis etc etc. best £15 i've spent for a while!

I'll second that, been invaluable.... if only WIS was included....

Sorry new to all this what exactly is the EPC, and how do you register ?

I think I read somewhere recently that it was going to be included soon, might be mistaken. :)

You mean included in the £15 subscription fee? Unlikely, it already is available but the price is of a different magnitude (for a full year subscription), actually a couple of orders of magnitude.

Scuse my ignorance, what is EPC & WIS ? ?

As above EPC is the Electronic Parts Catalogue, worth every penny of the £15 or so quid a year it costs if you are interested in buying parts for your car or even just being nosey about the bits that make it up....

The WIS is the Workshop Information System which is aimed at professionals who are performing servicing and other work on Mercedes cars. It provides data sheets and 'how to' documents detailing the steps required for the job. I have used some of these sheets in the past and they show you the 'correct' way to do things but often require the use of special tools etc usually only found in Mercedes dealer or specialist workshops.

Thanks a lot for this I have just registered and it is really good.:)

It seems to be a big improvement but I wonder if it still has all the glaring errors the old site had where datacards were so obviously incorrect.

Genuine WIS is available at the Daimler Service portal but its expensive. Still, it beats all those dodgy copied old WIS disks that are being used illegally and having their data copied and distributed illegally too.

this needs to be stickied!
