Interesting comment at the foot of the article that MB is moving back to in-line 6cyl engines - I'd have thought height and length advantages would favour V engines.

2016 Mercedes GLC spy photo with almost no disguise

Three lightly camouflaged Mercedes GLCs have been spied in Germany.
Looking far more stylish than the slab-sided GLK that is will replace, the GLC has curvaceous bodywork that echoes the entry-level GLA. The crossover also has a two bar grille, sweptback headlights and chrome trim around the lower air intake. We can also see chromed roof rails, an upward sweeping beltline and a gently sloping roofline.

Hmmm...doesn't wow me, especially from the side. A VW badge wouldn't look out of place on the picture above, and as you come around to the front corner view it looks like a Honda CRV (although definitely not as you get the fiull side view).
Wonder where our's will be made? If they're building RHD in China then they might come from there.

Wonder if it'll bring the X3 leadtimes down - colleague ordered on a couple of months ago and the dealer is humming and harring about whether it'll be here in Sept!

Based on the new W205 C-Class' MRA (Modular Rear Architecture) platform this might give some indications on the overall size of the new GLC.
