No flash working for the headlights

Hello all. We've recently purchased a W202 C200 R Rej and the flash is not working for the headlights. When giving way we have to put the full beam on and off to give people. Any ideas?

I would guess that the stalk switch is failing. You may be able to clean it with some switch cleaner.

I had a problem with dipped beam on an R129 SL. Much head scratching, testing, and a lighting control module later (the auto electrician was sure this was the problem) a good blast of switch cleaner worked.

(unlike me try the simple things 1st)
