North East indies????

As above basically looking for someone in the north east, ideally teesside area but wiling to travel.
Need to have Star/xentry and be able to update software as im looking for software updates at less than a million pounds which is what Merc will want!

Check with them on the phone that they have Star/Xentry.
With the tuning he does on the MB brand I'd be very surprised if he didn't have it.

Give Chris a shout at MB Darlington, he looks after mine and does a great job. Have used most of the indies around Teesside and found him to provide the best all round service.
Where about in Teesside are you out of interest??

Just talking about stuff in Teesside/North East, anyone have an experince using Prestige Servicing in Stockon? I've heard they are a Mercedes Specialist with ex-techs and mechanics?

Wondering if they'd be better priced / service than using the official Merc dealer on Preston Farm Industrial.

I'm from Hartlepool and just bought a C63 507 so looking at good option for services as official dealers just try and have your pants down, I know what Teesside Audi was like with my A6, I then started taking it to Lawson Cars in Boro and they sorted everything at a reasonable price, even did some minor things for free as and when needed.

Congrats on your 63, I have had experience of Prestige and thats why I no longer use them!
It's literally down the road from me, but they have/did charge for parts that were never fitted on my/friends vehicles, as well as some of their quoted prices being more than the MB stealer!!
When they started out, they were good and customer service was great, but due to the lack of indies in the area they seemed to grow massively overnight, moved premises, more staff (which was obviously a good thing) and then what suffered dramatically was customer service and attitude.
They are still going, but personally I wouldn't recommend them.

A little bit further to travel for you, as it is for me, but MB Darlington gets my vote and my money each and every time

If your willing to travel a bit msl performance have their northern branch in Bradford. But also have another branch Middlesborough big fish tuning part of the msl group.

So it was you who drove past and made some noise? i remeber that i think... sounded lovely.

So you reckon Merc in Darlington to be the best? i'd be happy to try those or Big Fish.
although i've not heard much about Big Fish other than a few people who have had cars mapped there.
I'm very particular about my cars needs, usually do everything myself as im that way inclined and at least i know its done right, but there is times when you need a specialiest.

How are they priced MB of darlo i mean? anyone specific to ask for?

MB Darlo are an indy and are half price compared with the stealers! The guy to ask for is Chris (who owns it, if you do call, tell him I passed his details on and he will know what type of customer you are )

Everyone that I know that has used John at BFT have been very impressed with them, but as far as I am aware they do more on the mapping and tuning side of things oppose to mechanical/maintenance work, but I may be wrong.
