It might not be too bad to drive; (almost) every car has its charms. The acid test is whether you would be prepared to drive it if your friends saw you doing so...

Im not sure what the motivation is for this kind of thing as the kits cant be cheap.

Just did a bit of research and it seems that it was based on the TT concept and released before the TT came out so some logic there.....

How much is the cheapest first gen TT now that they're more than 15 years old, can't be far off what he's asking anyway?
 
I actually remember going to the factory / office when they were advertised! I think it was in the Medway area. I was quite interested at the time! Luckily the office was closed!
