Centre console below the gear selector, driver's side. It has a 'P' on it

I think by default it should be on, if you get no lights or sound then you need to get it on STAR to find the fault.

Cheers guys only problem is all I have next to gear selector is one button with c/s but as I've just bought car will be going back to garage to get checked

No switch would suggest you don't have Parktronic fitted?

Do you have the sensor holes on the front and rear bumpers? If so, you have a aftermarket kit fitted.

Got all the sensors front and back and the light cluster on dash and it was advertised with the sensors !!!

If you have no 'P' button below the gear stick then you have a aftermarket kit.

Looking at your picture it shows a cluster of switch's below gear selector, although mine doesn't have any switch's at all not even blanks but will get it checked out and will post back results as you've been very helpful
