I seem to recall a thread where someone asked for the best method of posting a wheel but I cant seem to find it.

A quick check on parcelforce site and I'm looking at £40 + to ship a single wheel.

Can anyone recommend a better solution?

If you give the locations maybe a passing forum member can help?

there are companies that advertise on ebay... they seem to specialise in shipping wheels..
shipping alloy wheels, Local Services, Cars, Motorcycles Vehicles items at low prices on eBay.co.uk

Hmm looks interesting. Confusing at the same time as there appears to be two companies, both with almost identical names with one charging twice as much as the other. Neither have chackable ratings.

I'm trying to get the wheel (a motorcycle wheel) from West London to Kent/Essex borders somewhere. Its a nightmare drive so I am trying to avoid doing it myself.

I use interparcel.com and they have an accounts with all the major delivery firms you put your parcel dimentions in and then you can choice the service you require, dhl.ups etc. iv used them times and never had a problem

I use these guys. £16.95 for 4 wheels Link They are very good and very efficient.

Out of interest who did you go with in the end, as I'm looking to do something similar myself.

It's Hastings to Norwich or Hastings to Warwick if that's on anyone's route.

Thanks.

I used parcels2go to send a big tyre to Silverstone from Norfolk a few days ago. £8.99 door to door by DHL fully tracked. Parcelfarce would have cost me £20 and a trip into Norwich:eek:

The ebay sellers just book it in with a domestic courier.

www.shiply.com for bigger items and door to door service

www.interparcel.com for courier services. Discount codes: HotUKDeals - Vouchers - All
