I'm posting an item abroad and the buyer has requested that we send it via his DHL account.

Is this advisable and how do I then have any proof of sending?

I recently sent a steering wheel to a MBClub member in Australia. He paid for the item using paypal, arranged and paid the courier (TNT). TNT e-mailed me the documentation including the customs declaration. I completed the required paperwork at my end and kept a copy of the consignment note. Three days later, it arrived at his place of work. Everyone was happy. Easy really. Can't imagine it would be much different with DHL.

+1 for several years now, I've found these global courier firms to be good at what they do.
