I picked these today next to a nearby footpath.

Not a bad haul for June but I'm sure that when I was a child you had to wait until September for them.

^^ I wouldn't worry - apart from these the ones everywhere else are only just starting to flower and won't be ripe for a good few weeks yet.
 
Memories - at our old house friends used to visit to pick kilos of those! Admittedly we has a 1/2 acre paddock at the bottom of the garden with a long bramble hedge that was a PITA to keep under control, life at the new house is loads easier!
 
Spiders have started migrating indoors - which they don't usually do until late August/early September. We're all doomed! :eek:
 
It turns out that they are in fact loganberries (a blackberry / raspberry hybrid) that are usually ripe a couple of months before blackberries.

So it appears that summer isn't over after all.
 
Didn't you enjoy summer in May?, even had sun in Scotland for a few days

OK these are definitely blackberries and it's only July:
