Hi Gents,

Discovered the issue with my newly acquired w210 e240 is actually the TC lockup solenoid pulsing in 5th around 50-70 this raising the revs around 50-75 under partial load.

Dropping down a gear it disappears.

Question is this was a cheap motor I'll eventually do the conductor plate and solenoid. This week end it's actually the turn of my W211 to have its 722.9 VGS speed sensor removed and sent off to be rebuilt, bloody typical.

There seems to be a sprinter mod to eliminate RSN on the TC lock up solenoid. Can someone give me further info on this mod and if it's reversible, some seem to drill an additional hole others seem to use a pop rivet to jam the solenoid from functioning and prevent lock up. Will this cause any issues or put the box in limp mode. I'll flush and refill with 236.14 whilst I do the mod.

Please guys help is appreciated if anyone has done this and has pictures that'd be ideal!
