Evenin' all. I need to do a cylinder compression test on my 1994 SL500 (base module unit, not OVP). Is there an easy way to disable the fuel injection temporarily so that it does not fuel while I am cranking the engine over?

Can you remove the fuel pump relay?

If I knew where it was, I could just disconnect it. If I knew where it was...

Found this on the net buddy, may help :)

Mine's not an OVP model; it's all a bit different. B****r!

Remove fuel pump fuse or place a crocodile clip over the fuel line (2nd was a joke)

If only I knew where the fuse was... The car did not come with the usual fuses decode lists (no surprise there), and I haven't managed to find any definite info on the net. Anybody know where the little blighter is?

If it is in a fuse box behind the passenger seat, I have another problem; the passenger seat doesn't move. Is there a manual reversion option?

If all else fails, I could simply open the fuel rail pressure release valve and run a line from it into a fuel can, or disconnect all the injectors, before I crank the engine over, but both solutions are a bit of a faff.

Oh, feck it! I'll try the crocodile clip...:D

It's about time you had a bit of luck with that thing.
