Today we went to Ragley Hall, Alcester, to the annual Classic Car show.
Rather sneakily, as I drove through the grounds to the public car park I spotted the Mercedes Benz Club and as the car was gleaming I pulled in and parked, unchallenged ;).
Too much to list so I've just posted them untitled, and I hope you enjoy them.

I was there too :)

I asked if I could go on the stand but it was fairly crowded.

Was that your Brabus estate? I saw you there then!

Aha - you asked - that was the problem then - I just turned in and looked "club like".

Great pics John, thanks.

Looks like it was a good day. Not been there for yolks, nice part of the world.

Did you notice ?

.....no pot holes

.....no road works

.....no traffic

.....smooth road surfaces

.....arrrr Heaven.

It does sound good and looks striking. Always been curious about the narrow rear track width compared with the front.

Edit, that was meant to attach to DM's post

That is to allow "boat-tailing" for aerodynamic efficiency.

Thanks. Had it in my head that it was to accommodate the engine, FWD, clever steering, and hydro all happening at the same time. Glad to be put right on that :thumb:

Note that on the DS, SM and CX the rear wheels are behind aerodynamic fairings, so the track had to be narrower.

I know they are faired, but didnt realise the track was narrower for the specific purpose of aerodynamics. Thought the fairings were a by-product of the mechanical requirements resulting in differing tracks, and a useful 'extra' to build in. No idea where I got the idea, but cheers for the insight. Fascinating cars.

Great photos john.
