Hi Ash, I did this in November. I cant remember the wire colours - but as I wired it in next to the rear cluster it was easy enough to pick the reverse wire colour just by looking what came off the bulb

HOWEVER... mine didn't work properly and I had to use a relay. I, if I were you would use one too. It was a few quid from Halfords but fixed what was a "bad feed".

So you take a live feed from the rear fusebox, and one from the reverse light. When reverse is selected, it activates the relay which in turn gives a good supply to the camera.

a bit like this...

Cheers hugh, does it matter which side cluster i tap into? Where abouts is the rear fusebox located?
Which relay did you purchase?

the relay fuse arrangement is clearly the best way forward, for me it worked by just tapping into the reverse lamp feed.

The relay just needs to be a low current 12v relay, plenty of those available in Halfords.

Try looking at the far right hand side under the carpet for the fusebox.

Is this the right relay that I require

12v 30A 5 Pin ON OFF Automotive Relay Amp Car, Van, Motorbike, Boat, 87 Joined | eBay

also is the following item also correct as per the link that hugh provided

1 x Add a Circuit Fuse Tap - Piggy Back Standard Blade Fuse Holder 12/24 Volt! | eBay

If I am wrong could any one provide me a direct link to what I require

Cheers

Yes they'll do.
2 Pcs 12/24V Add Circuit Piggy Back Tap Standard Blade Fuse Boxes Holder ATO ATC | eBay

is cheaper and you get two... ( it popped up when I clicked.) Basically it lets you get power by sharing a fuse. I don't know your car so have a look in the trunk for the fusebox... Im sure others on here can tell you where it is.

The relay is also numbered as per link picture too.

EdIt: I see yours is in UK so you'll get it in under 55 weeks!

Ordered

4 PIN 12V 30 A RELAY 30 AMP 30 A CAR BOAT VAN MOTORCYCLE HORN RY1 | eBay

Standard ATS Blade Fuse, Add a Circuit, Piggy Back Holder *Free Fuse* | eBay

what would be the correct amp fuse, would it be 2,3,4,5 or 15amp?

the fusebox in the boot which fuse do I share it with?

found a couple of more links illustrating the wiring to the relay layout, but with differing amp sizes, the link to the image you provided 15amp was used

I may be corrected but it's pulling no power so I guess a 3 amp would do.
As for the fuse Im not sure... there is a one people say use... you may have to have a search for that one.
