I'm looking for recommendations for a serivce department of a MB main dealer in the North West who has provided excellent and trustworthy customer service.

Relates to a warranty matter so needs to be a main dealer rather than independent specialist.

Anyone had a particularly good experience and care to recommend?

Thanks.

MB Macclesfield are generally well thought of and have a better reputation than most. Not sure if they are truly in the NW though.

Keep away from bolton mercedes, I've heard good stuff about mercedes whitefield.....

Wow, that's exactly what I was going to post. :)

Whitefield looked after mine after Bolton failed to impress, from their miserable stuck up receptionist onwards.

The service manager actually knew what he was doing at Whitefield too. (and the numpty he was dealing with :) )
S/Manager: "Your front pads are 70% worn"
Me: "And?"
S/Manager: "Just telling you. May as well wait till the light on the dash comes on."
Me: "Thanks"

Exactly how it should be. Bolton would have made several phone calls explaining how I was taking my life in my hands if used and they urgently need replacing.
I've many horror stories about Bolton, but it was a while ago now so can't really repeat them. :(

Forget the main dealer, Ian B Walker is who you want.

As for removed from the dealer servicing experience as you can be, and thats a good thing.

I've written a strong letter to mbuk explaining my disappointment with their service recently. Don't think things have improved since your difficulties with them :-/
I'm glad whitefield seem ok as its not far from bolton :)

Which is why I didn't mention an indie.
