I'll never forget his compelling performance in 10 Rillington Place, a film I saw as a teenager and later as an adult. Eerily good.

Great Escape, Ghandi (directing though) and Guns at Batasi - all worth seeing

Exit Stage Left. RIP Dickie Attenborough

Richard-Attenborough-011.jpg

Richard Attenborough has died but a few days from his 91st birthday. He might be described as the "luvies luvie" but that would have been said with great affection and respect. A true giant of the British stage and screen has made his final exit. There's hardly any section of the performing arts that did not benefit from his presence. British cinema is probably in the healthy state it is today in no small part to his efforts. Richard Attenborough's death: a sad day for the British film industry | Film | theguardian.com
