A long shot, but I am slowly changing my garden into a rose garden. The weather has been rather conducive to mildew of late and I have to spray. Thanks to an absence of cats and an abundance of nesting sites, I have numerous wild birds in the garden and would rather spray with something that wasn't going to harm the birdies in any way (except if they keep depositing the processed wild cherries on my car - don't they realise how much grief Ringway will give me?!).

Are there any helpful sources for this and other sprays?

I can't help directly, but can say that my mother finds Ryton Organic a great help. On membership they offer unlimited technical support.

I'm always a bit wary of organic, certainly in vine cultivation some organic compounds (like Bordeaux mixture) are particularly nasty. Potassium bicarbonate however looks pretty decent.

I went to a vineyard in Tuscany a few months ago. Organic the tourists are told - the locals know better - but still very happy to drink the Chianti of course :)
