Rust Treatment

Just spotted a little bit of rust on the inner drivers side wing

Keen to treat it before it spreads

Is there any chemical that can be applied straight onto it to prevent it spreading? Or does it require sanding etc

If the rust is coming through from underneath, the affected steel needs to be excised and new steel welded in its place.

The rust remedies are ok for light surface corrosion caused by stone chips etc but nothing more.

'Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80 Rust Killer' is the best one available imo.

I put some rust remover on a W210 E-Class one day.

Went out the next morning and there was just the tyres and steering wheel left.
