I have a 2007 SL. It's got a full Merc service history but this is only shown by a slightly rubbish print out obtained by the chap I bought the car from. His local MB dealer ran off the history and gave it to him.
At the first service under my ownership I asked for the previous service history again. I was told that he'd look into it but was told there may be a problem as it may reveal personal data of previous owners.
I said that I'd be happy for all that info to be removed from the print out. Naturally I've heard nothing since.
Is there a policy on making previous history available or is it down to the individual dealer, does anyone know?
