Sony Experia J will not charge up

Help needed. The battery on my Sony experia J mobile phone went flat at retro show on Sunday, so after the usual flat battery warning I turned the phone off, to charge it up once I got home, as normal. The phone does not acknowledge the charger cable and simply acts like it isn't connected, still warning me of low charge, please connect charger. I tried it through the PC via USB but still no joy. Same problem.

I read online to try a factory reset, which I have done but still no joy.

Any ideas?

I'm expecting an important call tomorrow

Have you tried leaving it connected for a few hours, my phone (if batterey really flat) doesn't seem to accept charge immediately

Try this in the pc....hold down the back button and keep it pressed whilst plugging into the pc.
Hopefully it connects.
If its not the battery it maybe charger, charging port or worse, the firmware... which means a reflash and losing everything on the phone. I used to fix phones a while back and sony were the main ones for messing up.
Go onto sony website for phones and try a reflash. Sony update service.
