2014 Sprinter 313
Hi, I've recently purchased a 2014 '64' sprinter and I've been having problems,
When driving the ESP Visit Workshop comes on and the throttle is very unresponsive, when I go to accelerate it take around 5 seconds for the revs build up and it builds up very slowly, Sometimes I can drive all night and the ESP light comes on but drives normally, the other times it's a nightmare there's, sometimes it resets when I turn it off and it but sometimes I haven to do it around 10 times, there's no rhyme or reason as to when I will come on, I've changed the brake switch but that didn't help, any help and advice would be much appreciated,
Cheers

Is steering wheel level when going straight ?, SAS could be reason, is tracking OK.

Hi, the steering wheel is off centre a bit but the tracking is fine,

Not sure if same as my ML, if it has a steering angle sensor, may need resetting. Turn steering lock to lock slowley three times, then drive away. This reset my esp/ bas light.
I have been told that my steering wheel being slightly off centre when going dead ahead could be causing SAS to malfunction. I need to have car tracked soon.

Hi, the steering wheel is off centre a bit but the tracking is fine,
If its more than 5 degrees it will throw a code.
In fact there is a locking pin that passes through the wiper switch mount bracket to centralize the steering .
Do check the rear axle U bolts for security and axle "shift" on the perches. This sheers the locating tit on the underside of the spring leaf and causes wavering yaw rates.

Hi, thanks for the replys, I got my wheels aligned Saturday so that the steering wheel was straight, looked all good I've done about 150miles and the ESP light has just come on again.

Ok its scan time!
You most likely have an intermittent drop of a wheel speed signal.

Hi, I need some help please!

My van is a 313 Sprinter 2013 LWB. I was driving few weeks ago and the esp lights came on. with two messages. This was intermittent for the next few days and then they went completely. A few weeks later the lights came back on again and this time it showed 5 messages with more lights on the dash. The RED rig.test light was on along with ESP, ABS basically all the lights. And the speedo stopped working too.

I am so confused..... hoping someone can help!

DIAGNOSTIC 1
- My ODB II Reader.

P0500 Vehicle Speed Sensor - Malfunction

DIAGNOSTIC 2 - So, I took it to a local guy who plugged in a diagnostic and let me take a picture of what came up. This is what was displayed.

P050031 - Vehicle Speed No or Incorrect CAN message from control unit ESP.
P067413 - Component R9/4 (Cylinder 4 glow plug) has an electrical fault or open circuit. There is an open circuit.
P052C86 - There is an internal control unit fault in the monitoring function for vehicle speed. There is an incorrect signal.

DIAGNOSTIC 3 -
Took it to a Van specialist Garage who used a Mercedes Diagnostic and said the ABS pump needs replacing. Estimate around £650 for getting it reconditioned.

DIAGNOSTIC 4 - Then, I went to another Mercedes Van specialist who plugged in a Mercedes diagnostic and this is what came up.

C06D000 - Control Unit N30/4 is defective

---------------------------------------------------------
There is no loss of power etc..

A few days later I took a look at the Brake light switch and pushed it from the back of the clip. It made a loud click noise. I put the key in ignition, turned the van ON and all the lights had disappeared and the speedo was working fine.. Drove around 20 miles and everything was fine.

The next day the lights came on again and I clicked the brake light switch again and all the lights went off again.

NOW, I replaced the brake light switch. But all the lights are still on and this time they are not going away.

ANY HELP PLEASE!

Hi All,

Similar problem here...........

ESP, ABS, Skid warning light all on. Loss of cruise control and hill start assist along with ASR. My local mechanic, who I trust implicitly, said his scanner was pointing to a voltage problem with the LHS front wheel speed sensor and after a bit of surfing found that this could be a symptom of a faulty wheel speed sensor. Spent £100!!! on a genuine MB replacement but alas this has not resolved the issue. Any ideas anyone? It's booked in for a (A) service with local dealer very soon and I was hoping to resolve the issue before I'm forced to part with bucket loads of cash at the dealership whilst they merrily replace every part that can possibly cause the problem before hitting on the solution.

I have the same problem....No idea if it helps but in the back at the top right is an earth bolt that I cleaned and it seems to of cured it for the tie being..
