Standard tyres for S 500

Hi All,

I have a 2000 S500 with the standard 225/60/16 98W Pirelli tyres fitted. I need to replace them now as they all getting near the mark. As tyre prices appear to have gone through the roof since I last bought tyres, can I fit a set of nearly new 225/55/16 98W tyres on the old girl? Or am I asking for trouble?
