The ultimate male retreat from a testy wife perhaps--Found usually in the basement, a spare room, unused garage space or some place where the significant other doesn't want to enter.
Great for male conversations, watching the match on a big screen TV and other decidedly male only activities..
Introducing now a customer called Brian, my business IT guy, and customer, who has a collection of exotica--Ferraris' Astons, Maseratis, Jags etc etc all of varying vintages.
To house and protect this veritable auto collection he has up to now had them in secure storage ready for the occasional outings.
Being about 40 years of age and in the mid life crisis he has dumped the missus who was cheating on him, and he is now in the process of building his own Super Duper Man Cave!
Now achieving this "Project " is far from easy since the new planned abode is at least 75% special lux car storage and entertainment areas strictly dedicated to things automobile & guys including a dance floor disco and bar!
This it seems conflicts with local planning by laws where their is a clash of dwelling versus business occupations, garage keeping, boozing establishments and entertainment don't mix in their local regs .
Now one city area in the METRO has relented and given him the go ahead for a warehouse style building to accommodate all his needs and under strict permission that it is to be used for PRIVATE activities only and be totally fire complaint.
I suppose in the planning stage the architect has included a chrome fire escape pole to connect the upper mezzanine and lower level to the automobile & entertainment section.
The brigade inspector wanted to see it working with a practice escape run! So Brian hired a topless stripper to slither down the newly installed pole in front of the county fire inspectorate .
The Inspector asked if the decorative pole had come out of a Las Vegas strip joint (I suppose) and it really doesn't meet regulations for fire stations but it will pass it off as functional--- AND thanks for the demo run guys --Nice man cave in the making guys !~ Nice!
Life is sweet when you have a man cave--Well for some anyway!
