You won't get there by making rubbish posts in the wrong categories - you can expect them to either be relegated to the Off-topic forum or deleted altogether. On the other hand a politely worded message to the moderators could work wonders...

Yes. People were joining solely to send bulk spam PMs to members.

As mentioned the mods. will often activate the PM facility early if asked nicely and there's a genuine reason.

Thirty posts is easy, sit down one Friday night wait for someone to say something stupid (its not normally a long wait) someone else will react and it will kick off. The important part is to join in the "debate" and by Saturday morning you will have "Hardcore MB Enthusiast" next to your name.
